When Your Adventurer Gets Stuck, Remember Your ABC's!
A — Ask Questions
Curiosity reopens the path.
Try:
-
“What part feels tricky?”
-
“What have you tried so far?”
-
“What’s the first small step you can take?”
Questions shift your Adventurer from stuck to thinking.
B — Be Calm
Your steady presence helps your Adventurer regulate.
A calm parent communicates:
“You’re safe, you can do this, and I’m here with you.”
When you're calm, their brain can problem-solve again.
C — Celebrate Effort
Progress—not perfection—is the mission.
Celebrate courage, persistence, and trying again:
-
“You didn’t give up!”
-
“That was brave.”
-
“Look how you figured out the next step.”
Small wins build big confidence.
